Instructions for setting your watch for both mechanical and quartz movements

Step 1: Pull out the crown all the way
Step 2: Turn the crown to make the hands turn clockwise, don't go counterclockwise..
Step 3: If you don't have a date function on your watch just set it to the desired time and push the crown back in all the way and you are done! If you do have a date function, keep turning the hands clockwise until the date changes. You now know where midnight is.
Step 4: Keep rotating the hands to get to the desired time. If its afternoon, make sure you rotate the hands all the way through 12 hours and then set the time so the watch knows it's PM.
Step 5: Push the crown back in. Next part is setting the correct date.

Setting the date

Please note: If the time on your watch is between the hours of 10pm and 2am, its not the best idea to change the date manually. The watch would be in the process of changing the date over and forcing the date to change could damage the date mechanism. Either just wait until after 2am or manually change the time after 2am, then set the date and then go back and readjust the time.

Step 1: After the time has been set and the crown is pushed all the way in, pull the crown out one step or click.
Step 2: Rotate the crown to advance the date forwards to the correct date.
Step 3: Push the crown back in all the way. If you have a screwdown crown, push it in and rotate it away from you until it is tight.

You're done!

I have some exciting new things happening just around the corner for my watch designs. I am going to be introducing new metals for my dials which can make colours like in the chart below possible. I'll also be using copper and brass to create dials with patinas.

<img src="http://payload11.cargocollective.com/1/2/83662/2525166/TI_colors_insquare2.jpg" border="0" width="555" height="242" width_o="555" height_o="242" src_o="http://payload11.cargocollective.com/1/2/83662/2525166/TI_colors_insquare2_o.jpg" align="left" />

I spoke with many many people at the Christmas One of a Kind show and I have listened to your requests and I'm implementing as many as I can.

- I'm going to have more PVD black stainless steel cases in large sizes(44mm and 47mm).

- I'm working on having skeletonized movements in some of my large watches.

- New watches coming from my ongoing collaboration with Hugh from MoviesinHaiku.

- There were many requests for a pocket watch. I'm still trying to make that happen, stay tuned.

- I'm also trying to source parts to make a watch with a true Tourbillon movement.

Thanks so much for all your support, the next show I'll be at is the Spring One of a Kind Show which runs from March 28, 2012 until April 1, 2012. More info to come!

Customization and custom watches are two very different things in my eyes. Making a custom watch is a complete process starting from scratch through to finished product. This would be an entirely new design created through a dialogue between you and I. Please read about this process in my Custom Watches section.

Customization is taking an existing design and modifying to your taste. It can be something as simple as changing the strap to be a different colour. Here are several examples of possible customizations:

- putting on a deployment clasp instead of a tang clasp on a strap(or vice versa)
- putting on a metal strap
- changing the regular leather strap to be genuine lizard / crocodile / alligator / stingray / shark / ostrich or a synthetic / rubber / silicone (complete listing for all here)
- changing the mineral crystal to a sapphire crystal
- changing the style of the hands
- different colours in the dial
- different colours in the hands
- different colour of the hands
- adding hour markers onto a dial
- making the design in the dial luminous/glow in the dark
- adding or taking away the day/date window
- changing the movement
- changing the watch case
- changing the watch case to a PVD version(PVD = black coating)

Please note that not all of these customizations are available on all watches, but many are! This is also not a complete listing of all customizations. Just contact me with your questions and I'll let you know what I can do.

<img src="http://payload11.cargocollective.com/1/2/83662/2520829/boxy header_640.jpg" border="0" width="640" height="132" width_o="978" height_o="202" src_o="http://payload11.cargocollective.com/1/2/83662/2520829/boxy header_o.jpg" align="left" />
I've been hunting around for watch winders to pair with my automatic watches for some time and have finally found something that does a great job. These small boxes(brand name "Boxy Brick Winder") can keep your automatic/self-winding watch wound while you are not wearing them, so they are always ready to go when you are.

The thing I like about these winders is that they are small and if you have more than one watch you can stack up to three of them, operating off one power source. If you have more watches than that you can get special "power stations" which can power up to 12 winders at once. Please check out the video below to see all the different configurations that are possible.

Please note that the watches in the video and in the photos are not of my design. They are from the manufacturers website. If you'd like to see a Boxy Watch Winder with my watch on it, just let me know which watch, I'll take a photo of it and send it to you(if the watch is currently in stock).

Price: $129.95 each winder
For prices for other Boxy accessories, please contact me.

As well as silver jewellery and custom designs, I make engagement rings and wedding bands. These can be either a standard type of design such as a solitaire in 4 claw setting or something completely custom, like the 4 seasons wedding band pictured in the slideshow above.

I'm also a certified gemmologist, so finding that perfect diamond for your ring(and your budget) is no problem. If it's not a diamond your looking for, I can get any type and cut of gemstone you desire, even custom cut stones.

If you are interested in having me make a ring for you or if you just have some questions, please contact me at your convenience.

As well as custom jewellery I still make a couple of different lines of sterling silver jewellery, some of which is shown above.

I sell this jewellery through my Etsy shop for jewellery and many of the shows I participate in throughout Southwestern Ontario. Please visit my Etsy shop to see what is available currently or you can look at my old website and if you see something you like, I can always make one especially for you. As well, if you would like any of my designs made in gold instead of silver, just contact me and I can give you a quote based upon the current price of gold.

I've been able to add a widget for Etsy to this page! Please click here to see the full page and widget:

In this section you will find my mid to large size stainless steel watches with automatic movements(AKA self-winding movements). If you don't see exactly what you'd like, please remember that all of my watches are customizable, just contact me if you would like to alter a design or create a completely new one!

These watches also benefit from having a watch winder which will keep your watch wound so it's ready to go when you are. Check out my suggestion for winders here.
